WORSHIP & SERMONS
Services at Eatonton First have historically featured excellence in preaching as well as music. Our worship schedule includes services at 8:45 a.m. in The Historic Sanctuary & 11:00 a.m. in the Great Hall.
This service is a smaller, more formal service for early risers. It primarily centers upon traditional music, liturgy, prayers, and creeds. We celebrate Holy Communion at this service on the first Sunday of each month.
While larger and less formal, this service in the Great Hall remains warm and friendly, it feels like a gathering of a close-knit family of believers. We celebrate Holy Communion at this service on the first Sunday of each month.
United Methodists celebrate the Lord’s Supper with an open table; all are welcome to receive Communion with us.
Sunday School Hour
Between the 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., we offer an hour of study and fellowship through a variety of Sunday School classes. Children’s classes are located in the downstairs of the Bauman Annex. Visit our Sunday School Classes page to see class descriptions and locations. Let us know how we can help you connect.
Each Sunday morning, during the 11:00 a.m. service, Kidz Worship is offered prior to the sermon for children 4 years-old to 5th grade. During Kidz Worship, they will receive a Bible lesson and participate in a craft. Children will be brought back down to the Great Hall at the end of the service.
BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY
Are you considering joining Eatonton First UMC and “officially” becoming part of our church family? We welcome you! Membership is as simple as prayerful consideration, conversations of intention, an easy form to fill out, coordinating calendars, and welcoming you and your family into the church. Feel free to contact our pastor. In the United Methodist Church we ask that you love God, your neighbor, and support the Eatonton First United Methodist Church through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
